Snake River - Hells Canyon FishingThe Snake River in Hells Canyon is a terrific fishing trip. Both fly fishing and spin casting techniques work well. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to experts. Families often join a summer trip with the goal of having a child "catch that first fish". Expert anglers can arrange fishing boats with 2 fishermen/boat & guide service. We are happy to arrange Fishing Charters for groups of anglers. Hells Canyon fishing is unique. Any cast may bring in a smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, or channel catfish. Remarkably, all these species live in the Snake River along with steelhead (ocean-run rainbow trout), and huge white sturgeon, which can reach 10 feet or more in length. Snake River in Hells Canyon is renowned for excellent smallmouth bass fishing, and hard fighting rainbow trout. Late September trips provide an opportunity to fish for steelhead. Steelhead return from the Pacific Ocean to complete their life cycles in Snake River tributaries. Snake River “A-Run” steelhead are famous for an acrobatic, hard fight. Steelhead fishermen can plan fall trips on the Scenic River from Pittsburg Landing to Heller Bar with McKenzie Drift Boats.
