Hughes River Expeditions has been outfitting world-class river rafting and fly fishing vacations on rivers in the West since 1976. You will find us on some of the West’s most spectacular whitewater rivers: Idaho’s famous Middle Fork of the Salmon, Main Salmon -River of No Return & Salmon River Canyons, as well as the amazing Selway River.

Hughes River Expeditions is licensed by the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board and permitted by the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to outfit extended river trips through Idaho’s Federal Public Lands. Incredibly, 61.65% of Idaho is Federal Land. Middle Fork of the Salmon, Main Salmon – River of No Return, and Selway all flow through large Wilderness Areas managed by the US Forest Service. The Salmon River Canyons flow through lonely Public Resource Lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

HRE also runs multiple famous fly fishing and scenic rivers in Central & Western Montana such as the: Dearborn River, Clark Fork River- Alberton Gorge, Upper & Lower Clark Fork River, Bitterroot River, Blackfoot River, and the Missouri River.
